labels showing call numbersThis library uses the Library of Congress system, part of which is the Library of Congress Classification system:, which determines the structure of our call numbers. The call numbers are the little numbers on the stickers that go on the books which determine the order in which they are filed.  The system is designed so that like subjects are grouped together, so if you find a relevant item on the shelf, there may be similar items next to it.
