Some users have reported problems saving PDFs (using the "save" icon in Acrobat Reader) from ScienceDirect.

As a workaround,  right-click on the PDF icon, select Save Target As... (in Internet Explorer) and save the PDF to your computer.

Safari users - Safari is not fully compatible with ScienceDirect. Elsevier recommends using Firefox.
