Use the USB slot on the front side of the computer itself. It should be either above or below the power button.

  1. Fine, I know the computer USB works, but I bought a monitor thinking its USB ports would work as well. Why not?

  2. Hi Alex, The question in our system that you responded to was referring to the monitors in the library building. If the monitor you bought has usb ports that are not working, you could try googling--usb ports on monitor don't work--and add the name of the manufacturer, e.g., Dell, and the model number. You'll find a lot of online forums discussing the various reasons why a usb port on a given monitor isn't working. You could also contact the manufacturer of your monitor for more information.
